Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms said it is in the advanced stages of building a new cryptocurrency mining facility in the state of Texas, US.

The mining center, with a total capacity of 400 MW, is reportedly scheduled to be operational by the end of 2024. At the same time, the company will launch the first A1 building, with 100 MW of equipment, as early as next month. Further bitcoin miner will increase the capacity of the facility in stages.
On February 6, 2024, representatives of Riot Platforms said that the company has entered into an agreement with equipment supplier HashHouse Tech. The firm will provide 200 MW of infrastructure for the previously mentioned facility in Corsicana, Texas.
The statement indicated that the units in question are submersible units based on the Poseidon platform. It is designed to improve performance and guarantees stable operation of the equipment in all climatic conditions, Riot Platforms noted.

The solution will allow bitcoin miners to utilize MicroBT’s immersive rigs with optimal efficiency and hashing speed, the firm claims. According to them, even during the intense heat inherent in the state of Texas in the summer, the performance of the equipment will not be reduced.
Note that in December 2023 there was information about the acquisition of Riot Platforms 66 560 ASICs. The amount of the deal for the purchase of mining equipment amounted to $290.5 million. The company also renewed a long-term cooperation agreement with the firm MicroBT.
