On March 1, 2024, the Snapshot portal started voting on the proposal to redistribute commissions in favor of those users who delegate or steak UNI tokens. An absolute majority supported the initiative.
At the time of writing, more than 10 million UNIs are registered in the vote. There are 15 UNIs registered for the “Against” option and 3.9 UNIs registered for the “Abstain” option. All other participants supported the “For” option for integration. Voting will last until March 6, 2024.
Recall, the essence of the proposal is to launch two new smart contracts. They will allow to charge and redistribute commissions. The share of UNI holders may be from 10% to 25%.
The initiative was highly appreciated in the community. In particular, the decentralized protocol Frax Finance plans to implement a similar solution.
