According to experts, the hacker moved nearly 800 ETH (about $2.5 million at the time of writing) from the Arbitrum network to the Ethereum network. In addition, he moved 826,500 DAI to another wallet.
PeckShield clarified the purpose of the wallet owner’s transfer. Over the past few months, he has not made major transactions with assets.
Recall, in November, KyberSwap suffered a hacker attack for more than $40 million. By negotiating with frontrunner bot operators, who withdrew about $5.7 million in cryptocurrencies from the pools, it was possible to recover $4.67 million.
Subsequently, the attacker made several demands. He asked for full control over the project, including access to documentation and data related to profits and assets.
Against the backdrop of the hack, the management had to cut 50% of its staff. In addition to the layoffs, KyberSwap temporarily suspended its liquidity protocol initiatives and the KyberAI project.
