Figure, a company developing robots with artificial intelligence features, has raised $675 million in investment at a valuation of $2.6 billion.The startup has received funding from:
- Microsoft;
- OpenAI Startup Fund;
- NVIDIA;
- Parkway Venture Capital;
- Intel Capital;
- Align Ventures;
- Jeff Bezos.
It is known that the company will use the new capital to manufacture, train AI, deploy more robots and expand its engineering staff.
In addition, OpenAI and Figure have signed a collaboration agreement “to develop next-generation AI models.” The press release said that the goal of the collaboration is to help accelerate Figure’s commercial timeline by expanding the speech processing and comprehension capabilities of humanoid robots.
As a reminder, French AI startup Mistral AI closed a €385 million ($415 million) funding round in December 2023.
