HUMANITY PROTOCOL WITH PALM IDENTIFICATION TECHNOLOGY TO BE LAUNCHED IN POLYGON TEST NETWORK

  • Humanity Protocol will be launched in Polygon testnet.
  • The project offers identification technology based on a biometric scan of a user’s palm.
  • The protocol team is developing a “less invasive” verification method than iris scanning.

On February 20, 2024, Humanity Protocol announced its upcoming launch on the Polygon test network. The project team is working on a palm-based user identification technology.

This verification method has reportedly been developed in partnership with Animoca Brands and Polygon Labs. The founders of Humanity Protocol note that they want to offer users a “less invasive” method of identification than iris scans.

The protocol is based on Polygon’s modular CDK software. The project is based on the Proof-of-Humanity (PoH) consensus. It allows the user to prove the authenticity of data without revealing the information contained in it.

According to the Humanity Protocol management, the use of biometric identification of the client by palm will simplify the introduction of Web3-industry in other spheres of human life. In particular, such a solution can be integrated into Web2, the project team believes.

“By leveraging the advanced non-invasive biometrics technology behind the PoH mechanism, Humanity Protocol is creating a user-centric ecosystem. It has the potential to attract millions of people to an identification method that is truly decentralized and respects the principles of digital ownership,” Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu said.

Humanity Protocol noted that it will soon invite users to join in testing the protocol. The company has also provided various rewards for project participants.
