- On social network X, a man buys goats with donations in crypto assets from other users.
- The owner has animals named Base, Sam, and Higher.
- Users have already paid for the purchase of several goats and given them their names.
Social network X (formerly Twitter) user Richard Opani is creating a goat farm thanks to donations from the crypto community. People send him funds to buy animals, which are given nicknames related to industries or individuals.

It all started with a Worldcoin airdrop, of which Opany became a participant. With the coins he received, he bought a goat, which he named Sam – in honor of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
The man told about his deed on the X platform, which attracted the attention of some users. Members of the community began sending crypto assets to the owner to buy new goats.
For example, PoolTogether co-founder Leighton Cusack gave Opani $100, which led to the purchase of two animals at once. One of the goats was named Base, in honor of the Ethereum-based L2 blockchain. The owner named the second pet Higher, drawing a parallel to his desire for continued growth in the digital asset market.
Several people funded the purchase of four more goats. For example, Neeraj Agrawal, head of communications at CoinCenter, asked to buy an animal and name it after his friend Nick Carter, general partner of Castle Island Ventures.

Soon, an unknown user funded the purchase of another goat, which he asked to be named after the very same Neeraj Agrawal. As for Carter, he also got involved in the development of the farm. The entrepreneur sent $100 to buy a goat to be named Wolfram – in honor of a once-popular meme from the world of digital assets.
A former head of ecosystems at Aztec Network under the nickname Brunny also sent Opani funds of $50. He asked the man to buy a baby goat and name it Boaty McBoatFace. This was the name the British polar research vessel was supposed to receive, but it was later rejected.
Opani has reportedly already received about $1120 in various crypto-assets thanks to his goat-buying idea. The man continues to develop his small farm and take part in various activities related to the industry.
